So we moved into the flat on Wednesday and have only spent 2 days in there....moved back to Sominestationen and are heading to Frederikshavn on Monday morning!!
The flat was very nice, beds were comfy and I actually slept very well. Last night not so much!
I am hoping things get sorted and we can just go around doing surveys, being in the office is rubbish. The atmosphere isn't pleasent to be honest. A lot of look busy and make sure your desk is tidy because some knob is coming in to visit.
Not the feeling like being in Darlo, or even Zwevegem, where people knew what we did and understood what we are doing. I think that is mostly to do with this not being a survey company, and everyone else having a military back ground. I simply don't understand, everything they are doing seems to just be a circle jerk...spy on 'the enemy' becasue they are spying on us, and everyone is too busy spying on eahc other do actually do anything. Fucking retarded, i just want to plan AUV missions and press go.....you'll be able to hear my eye roll from miles away if anyone tries to explain the 'why' of any of this.
At the moment I am a smidge disallusioned, and I might make some enquiries in the new year.....not sure where or what work to target to be honest. I am really hoping Gaz gets his act together and ther might be a position for me there, thats the dream really.

Sore throat and fuzzy head all day, I thought I had managed to shake it off yesterday. But when I woke up this morning I felt terrible!
Today I played with QGIS, planned a mission for the bridge survey, if we can get permission to do it, and reviewed Kelvins task plan. My concentration levels were very low and I hope I feel better in the morning. Being ill sucks!

Today was a day off, labour laws in Denmark mean we can't work. A lot like when we were in Norway with Modus. So we visited the new crew flat...3 bedrooms, but only 1 bathroom!!
Or we would have done if Alan hadn't forgotten the keys. Ended up going for a wander around the local area, having a coffee and retruning to Sominestationen. We are planning on moving in on wednesday, so it will all have to be a surprise.

Another day where not much has really happened, lots of chatting about things and looking at the software. we then played with the vehicle a little, just going over a few things that i wasn't able to look at when I was here last time.
I am spending a bit of time sorting out my website stuff and fixing up the CV. I can't believe I blew up that harddrive and I have lost all the Nigeria notes and data. I will never be able to reproduce any of that.
Tomorrow we are going to go into Copenhagen and have a look at the flat that has been rented for us, see what it and the local are are like. Check wether we need to buy anything or take anything from Somniestationen.

So this morning the new boss and Jonathan arrived around 10:30, we had a good chat about what we are doing and what needs to happen over the coming weeks. Seems like there is a plan going forward and hopefully we will make some progress during this trip.
I think I am coming how a cold, my head is a little fuzzy and the back of my nose is super dry. I feel a bit weak and tired, as well. The guys have gone to town for food and drinks, I stayed at the Somine to have a quiet beer and an early night.

It was a nice easy start to the day, talking with the guys and finding out what had happened over the last few week.
In the afternoon, four of us went on out to do boat training course. Turns out we are surposed to be licensed to use a rhib, so last trip we were being very illegal!
I passed the theory exam, but failed the on the practical section. Apparently I approached the man-overboard from the wrong angle, and on my next attempt i ran over the casuality. I was annoyed at myself and I am going to have to redo the practical part of the test!
I don't like boats and I don't like driving them, so I am not that bothered. If I'm honest I don't really want to pass, it's not something I'm particulary interested in.
I'm still chatting to Faith on WhatsApp, I wonder how things will be in 6 weeks when I get home? Hopefully it doesn't dwindle and we can go out when I get back. I still have reservations about three children, but if I can make a friend that is all that matters.
Also been chatting to someone else from over Patringham way, so far seems okay..

I haven't written a blog in ages, setting this up to force myself.
Things at home have changed, Alice and I have split up. Turns around one day and says she doesn't want to live with me anymore and then moved out as fast as she could.....i was in total shock, never saw it coming. In hindsight, I guess there were signs and i just didn't want to see them.
So, i travelled back to Copenhagen today. Lets see if I keep this up?
